13 Bandits Killed in Pakistan Shootout

At least 13 dacoits have been killed in a shootout with the villagers in a Sahiwal suburban village 9-L in the early hours of Sunday.

According to DSP City Malik Daud, more than 20 armed dacoits entered the village Saturday-Sunday night. Once inside the village, the guards on the rooftop of Sardar Nazir’s house, the village chieftain, raised the alarm. Thereupon, a gun battle ensued resulting in the killing of at least 13 dacoits the others managed to escape.

A heavy contingent of police arrived to restore order. The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem.

Police have started the search for the culprits .
