August 17, 2008

About 150 Nigerians have been deported by the Libyan government at the weekend to Lagos on board a chartered flight by the Libyan authorities.

Although some of the deportees complained of maltreatment by the Libyan Officials, they, however, admitted that they were staying in Libya illegally.

According to Nigerian immigration officials, the number of Nigerians so far deported from Libya in recent times has reached 396.
