19 Members of the LTTE Killed in Sri Lanka on Friday

The army of Sri Lanka recovered a haul of LTTE military equipment in a search operation conducted after confrontation with terrorists in Andankulam area in Welioya yesterday (29). It is reported that four terrorists were killed or seriously injured during the attack.

Among the recoveries were 180 Anti-personal mines, mortar bombs

Meanwhile defense sources from Jaffna confirmed that seven terrorists were killed when the Army attacked a line of bunkers destroying five of them completely yesterday in Muhamalai, Jaffna.

In a separate incident four terrorists were reported killed in a confrontation with troops in Vallaikulam area, Vavniya.

Another 4 terrorists were killed by troops in Adampan and Manthai, in MANNAR on Friday (29) morning, the Media Center for National Security (MCNS) said.
Meanwhile, a soldier engaged in operations succumbed to injuries while two others were injured due to the explosion of a ‘booby’ trap in the Komaddai area, in Mannar yesterday (29), MCNS said.
