Singer Meat Loaf Leaves Stage Early During a Concert

American rock singer Meat Loaf has taken ill during a concert in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. He told the audience that it was “the last concert of his life,” and left the stage.The incident came 70 minutes into the show on Halloween night.

During the opening of “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” he suggested that the crowd of thousands should enjoy the performance as it was the last of his career. He attempted to sing the first line of the song, but instead said “Newcastle, I love you, but can’t continue. I take off my coat to you.” He thanked the audience for 30 years, and left the stage.

The venue, Metro Radio Arena, have announced that the singer had a sore throat. However, they also say that fans are unlikely to be refunded the cost of their tickets, priced at between £37.50 and £45, because he had performed for over an hour.

Lymphedema Fashion Bag

Sanu is offering a Modular Sling Bag and belt developed through a research project between Princess Margaret Hospital and Ryerson University, School of Fashion.

The mandate was to design a bag suitable for breast cancer survivors suffering from Lymphedema.

Professors Susan Barnwell and Sandra Tullio-Pow from Ryerson University designed the bag and belt as a practical, functional bag that makes a strong fashion statement.

One of Britain’s Top Traffic Police Faces a Driving Ban

One of the United Kingdom’s most senior traffic police officer faces charges of speeding at 90 miles per hour (mph) in a 60 mph speed limit zone. The Chief Constable of the South Yorkshire Police, Meredydd Hughes was allegedly caught speeding on the A5 road near Chirk in north Wales. Read more

Italy Debates New Immigration Law As Illegal Immigration Attempts Soar

The number of illegal immigrants arriving in Italy from African war-ravaged countries like Somalia, Eritrea and Ethiopia shows no signs of easing despite rough seas and colder temperatures in the Mediterranean. Authorities say the number of arrivals per year has diminished, but they add that the number of people dying during the crossings from Africa has increased.
