Afghanistan: Two Iranian Men Detained On Suspicions Of Spying

Two Iranian men have been detained in Afghanistan in separate incidents on suspicion of spying near NATO and Afghan military installations. Ghulam Dastagir Azad, the governor of Afghanistan’s southwestern province of Nimroz, told RFE/RL’s Radio Free Afghanistan that one of the detained men was captured with documents and photographs that prove he had links with militants. A Sunni Arab tribal leader in restive Diyala Governorate announced this week that tribal fighters obtained Al-Qaeda records documenting the names of 6,000 suicide bombers who have carried out attacks in Iraq since the fall of the Hussein regime.
