Ghulam Dastagir Azad, the governor of Afghanistan’s southwestern province of Nimroz, told RFE/RL’s Radio Free Afghanistan that one of the detained men was captured with documents and photographs that prove he had links with militants. Iraq: Foreign Fighters Continue To Wreak Havoc

A Sunni Arab tribal leader in restive Diyala Governorate announced this week that tribal fighters obtained Al-Qaeda records documenting the names of 6,000 suicide bombers who have carried out attacks in Iraq since the fall of the Hussein regime. The revelation comes amid reports that three Kuwaiti nationals — one who served time in the Guantanamo Bay detention center — blew themselves up in Mosul last week. Read more
