Engelbert is a prominent citizen of his hometown of Leicester England and at 74 years of age, still performs over 100 concerts per year. In the month of November 2010, he performed to sold out crowds on a three week Australian Tour which commenced just a day before he was honoured with the Music Legendary Award from ASYM (American Society of Young Musicians) a charitable organization benefiting young artists. On January 13, 2011, Engelbert will celebrate his 44th year in the entertainment world and is already confirmed for a UK Tour which will have him performing in over 14 cities, including Great Britain, Scotland and Ireland. Turning 75 years of age this coming May, with no signs of slowing down, I would hope that Queen Elizabeth would sincerely find it in her heart to give this incredible human being and entertainer a very long overdue acknowledgement. My heartfelt thanks to whoever takes the time to read this plea, which I have personally solely took on the endeavor of seeking six years ago. Please review his file again and realise what a true humanitarian Engelbert is and how he has been so very instrumental in the lives of millions not only with his music, but with his sincere and caring nature.
