African Union Condemns Terrorist Attack in Algeria

African Union Commission chairman Jean Ping hascondemned Tuesday’s “terrorist” attack in Algeria where around 43 people were reported to have been killed in a suicide attack the town of Boumerdes.
He said the attack highlights the gravity of the threat posed by terrorism to Africa.
“The chairperson unreservedly condemns this attack as well as all forms of terrorist actions, and reiterates Africa’s commitment to address this scourge,” he said.
