Alicia Keys Announces Dates for the Alicia Keys ‘As I Am Tour’

During the Super Bowl XLII press conference and with the backdrop of Phoenix, Arizona behind her, nine-time Grammy award winner Alicia Keys announced today the Alicia Keys As I Am Tour presented by Lexus.
The tour will build upon the success of Keys’ latest album, As I Am, and continue her career as a prolific performer and songwriter.
The buzz for the U.S. tour started when Keys recently announced her European tour, which begins on February 25th and makes visits to cities including Glasgow, Copenhagen, Zurich, Paris and Milan. The U.S. and Canadian portion of the Alicia Keys As I Am Tour presented by Lexus kicks off on April 19th in Hampton, VA. On partnering with Alicia Keys and her upcoming tour, National Marketing Communications Manager for Lexus, Steve Jett says, “The luxury of Lexus is reflected in the elegance and sophistication of Alicia Keys; her grace and style are tremendous. Iconic designer Giorgio Armani has added his creative style to the Alicia Keys As I Am tour by designing a custom wardrobe for his friend, the multi-talented songwriter, performer and producer comprising three key looks inspired by both the Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani collections.
Her new album, As I Am, continues its success this week claiming the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart selling over 2.7 million since its November 13th, 2007 release, when it debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts with sales of over 740,000 albums. Always a Grammy favorite, Keys recently received two nominations for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song for “No One.” The 50th Annual Grammy Awards airs live on CBS on February 10th at 8:00 PM ET with Keys performing.
Keys will also perform at the SUPER BOWL XLII PREGAME SHOW at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona, which will air live on Fox, Sunday, February 3rd. BET also recently honored Keys for her invaluable contributions to the world of entertainment at the first annual BET Honors that airs February 22nd on BET.
