An LTTE Black Tiger Base Was Destroyed in a Sri Lanka Air Force Fighter Jet Attack This Morning

An LTTE black tiger base located Northwest of Mankulam was completely destroyed in a Sri Lanka Air Force fighter jet attack this morning (07), defense sources said.
According to Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Andrew Wijesuriya, the air raid was launched around 6.15 am based on information gathered through air surveillance and from ground intelligence sources. The pilots confirm that the target was hit accurately, he added.
In a separate air raid launched by the Sri Lanka Air Force using MI 24 helicopter gunships, LTTE bunker defenses South of Muhamalai in Jaffna were destroyed. The objective of the sorties as reported from the battleground was to assist the ground troops engaged in limited offensive operations in the area and to disrupt the LTTE formations.
Meanwhile troops have launched an attack targeting LTTE bunker defenses in the general area of Thirukethiswaran in the Mannar front last morning. According to information from Mannar, four LTTE terrorists were killed in this fresh attack. An LTTE bunker was also completely destroyed due to the attack, sources further added.
Another three LTTE terrorists were killed by army snipers deployed in the general areas of Parappakandal, Adampan and Thirukethiswaran, sources further said yesterday (06).
