Angola signed a contract with the Spanish naval manufacturer “Aresa Boat’s” to acquire 210 fishing and coastal surveillance vessels for 77 million euros, APA learned Friday from a source close to the Spanish company in Madrid.
These ships will be manufactured in the Drassanes d’ Arenys shipyard, a subsidiary company of Aresa Boat’s, which is based in Arenys de Mar, in eastern Spain.
The Angolan government will receive these boats from next April during a ceremony in the presence of the Angolan Defense Minister, Kundi Paihama.
Aresa Boat’s have already handed over several ships to other African countries like Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria, among others.
