Another Drug Mule Arrested At Sydney International Airport

The woman was stopped by Customs officers at Sydney International Airport when she arrived on a flight from Bangkok on Wednesday (2 January).
During questioning, Customs officers became suspicious the woman may have been concealing drugs internally.
She was referred to the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and taken to hospital for a medical examination.
It will be alleged in court that the woman passed a total of 260 pellets containing a white powder. The pellets are currently undergoing forensic testing.
The AFP has charged the woman with importing a marketable quantity of a controlled drug contrary to section 307.2 of the Criminal Code Act 1995.
The maximum penalty for this offence is 25 years imprisonment and/or a $550,000 fine.
