February 5, 2008
A British Judge, has jailed five African men for 56 years for abetting with the July 21, 2005 bombers. The five men, (simply classied as Africans), including two brothers - Muhedin Ali (29), Siraj Ali (32), Ishmail Abdurahman (25), Wahbi Mohammed (25); and Abdul Sherif (30), were accused of “shielding, feeding and conspiring to help the July 21 terrorists, by sharing the ‘bomb plotters’ desire to bring havoc to society”.The ruling Judge, Paul Worsely, described the men as “unremorseful gang”, whose offenses deserve stiffer maximum jail terms”.
Wabbi Mohammed bagged the highest term of 17 years, for knowing in advance of the failed attempt to blow up commuters through bombing.
Meanwhile, authorities in London said they are reviewing the immigration status of the convicted Africans, who had been previously granted permission to stay in the UK.
