Bus Crash in Kazakhstan Leaves 12 People Dead

Twelve people died after a truck smashed into a minibus in the Central Asian Republic of Kazakhstan, the republic’s emergencies ministry said on Sunday.
The road accident occurred early on Saturday on the highway between Almaty and Ust Kamenogorosk in the east of the ex-Soviet republic. All the eleven passengers and the driver of the Mercedes minibus died at the scene of the tragedy while the truck driver was taken to hospital with numerous injuries, the emergencies ministry said.
