The visiting international coordinator of the festival, Daniel Kufa, handed over officially to the Congolese culture and arts minister, Jean Claude Gakosso, the Cuban authorities’ invitation to the Congolese artists.
Gakosse Friday received Kufa who is on a working visit to Brazzaville within the framework of the preparations of this musical event.
“I came to the Congolese capital to outline the event to the minister for his government to decide about the participation of the Congolese artists,” Kufa said.
«A real participation of Congo, which is known as a country of culture, is expected at such a cultural event,” he said.
Gakosso offered a drummer statuette, symbol of Congolese culture, to the international coordinator of the first Cuban international music festival.
Congo houses the head office of the Pan-African Festival of Music (FESPAM), a biennial cultural event with the participation of artists in Africa and the Diaspora.
