Cruz Angered By Photogs Creative Cropping of Pictures

Spanish siren Penelope Cruz is constantly feeling the media heat for her choices in boyfriends, but nothing hit the fan like her supposed “romance” with U2 frontman Bono this summer.

The media is now saying that the 33-year old actress manipulated them into thinking she and the very married Bono, 47, were an item, and she’s fighting back. They say that photos of her holding hands with the singer on the beach on the French Riviera made it look like they were an item, but she says it’s the sneaky photogs who played them for fools. Cruz claims newspapers and magazines deliberately edited out the singer’s family (wife of 25 years Ali Hewson, 46, and their four children) from the picture.

She says, “I went on holiday to Bono’s house with his wife and kids. We were walking along, holding hands because we’re very good friends, and do you know what the paparazzi did to us? They took photos and cropped out Bono’s wife and children. So they made up a story about us being together.”

Penelope is now openly dating fellow Spainiard and actor Javier Bardem, 38.
