Ecobank in Liberia turns ten years old on Wednesday, having being established in Liberia in 1997, and now operating 16 branches and 30 channels in nine of the country’s 15 counties.
The bank is currently considered the most extended bank network in Liberia., according to the bank’s Brand and Communications Officer, Mr. Garrison W. Barh. He said Ecobank Liberia also connects its customers to 28 African countries as a major Pan-African bank network in Liberia.
The bank, according to Mr. Barh, is the first to introduce the Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) service in Liberia and the first to bring and operate VISA service in the country.
The bank has also granted scholarships to several students to study at any university in Liberia, he said.
