Egyptian Police Arrest 12 Africans Attempting to Enter Israel

Egyptian security forces at the weekend arrested 12 African illegal migrants as they attempted to cross into Israel.

The migrants including Nigerians, Sudanese and Eritrean, were arrested on Friday while attempting to enter Israel from several crossing points in Central Sinai.

Police sources said the illegal migrants were being detained while awaiting investigation to clearly establish their status.

But the migrants whose intention was to find jobs in Israel said they were contacted by some unnamed sources to help them enter the country after paying some amount of money.
