Egyptian Police Arrest Illegal African Migrants Attempting to Cross Into Israel

The Egyptian security forces on Sunday arrested 13 illegal African immigrants while they were attempting to cross into Israel through the international border between the two countries.
According to the police, the immigrants are currently being interrogated in Cairo.
The police identified the 13 illegal immigrants as five from Eritrea, three from Sudan, three from Côte d’Ivoire and two from Ghana.
According to the police, the immigrants admitted in the preliminary investigation that they wanted to cross into Israel to search for jobs and that they also confessed of paying sums of money to smuggling gangs to help them cross the border.
