Ethiopia Hosts Olympic Photo Exhibition

Ethiopia is hosting a week-long Olympic photo exhibition as part of the country’s preparation for the 2008 Beijing Olympic, APA learned on Friday.

The exhibition is being organized by the Ethiopian Ministry of Youth and sports, Ethiopian Olympic Committee and in collaboration with the Chinese embassy in Ethiopia.

Among other things, the exhibition aims at publicizing the history of Ethiopian Olympic heroes, promote the Beijing 2008 Olympic in Ethiopia and celebrate the Ethiopian millennium.

It opened Thursday under the theme,”New Beijing, Great Olympic, Ethiopian New Millennium’.

Aster Mamo, Minister of Youth and Sports said that Ethiopian athletes are ready to score re-sounding victory in the up coming 2008 Beijing Olympic games as they did before.

Chinese ambassador to Ethiopia,Gu Xiaojie said that the year 2008 is special both for China and Ethiopia as Ethiopia greets the whole world with its millennium celebration.
