Explosion Rocks Zimbabwe’s Main Police Station

An explosion has rocked Zimbabwe’s main police station in the capital Harare, but no casualties were reported, APA learned Sunday.

The explosion, believed to be a bomb, hit the administration block of Harare Central Police Station on Saturday night but no one was injured in the blast.

Police sources said the law enforcement body was not suspecting foul play in the blast.

“Members from the bomb disposal squad have combed up the affected area and are trying to establish the cause of the blast.

Initial indications are that it could have been an accidental explosion of one of our own explosive devices,” said a police officer who spoke on condition he was not named.

This is the first time such an incident has occurred at Zimbabwe’s main police station.
