Freedom Museum Offers Free Admission Through November
January 14, 2008
To inspire people to exercise one of our most valued freedoms, the right to vote, and to prepare future voters through hands-on education, the McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum extends its free admission offer through the election season.
“We are deeply committed to promoting understanding and responsibility regarding the amazing privilege of voting we can claim as Americans,” said Nathan Richie, director, Freedom Museum. “The response to our election exhibit and related programs has been extremely positive. Extending free admission enables us to educate people and encourage them to get involved in this historic time in America.”
Through November 9, 2008, the McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum also offers voter registration and election resources, election-specific programs and a new exhibit, Vote4Me! Inside a Presidential Election, that puts each visitor in the shoes of a presidential candidate.
“Our goal is to provide each visitor with a rich educational and motivational experience so that they are better prepared to make an informed decision in the November election,” said Richie.
Beyond election basics, the Freedom Museum will also offer programming that examines the unique and interesting aspects of politics and elections.
