Iran Executes 10 Prisoners, 5 More Await Their Fate

The Iranian authorities executed 10 prisoners on February 20 in Tehran and the northwestern city of Zanjan, Radio Farda reported, citing Iranian agency reports.
Six men convicted of armed robbery were hanged in the Islamabad prison in Zanjan, and four convicted of murder were hanged in Evin prison in Tehran, Radio Farda reported. The broadcaster added that five teenagers accused of murder are waiting for a judgment from judiciary chief Ayatollah Mahmud Hashemi-Shahrudi.
