Kenya Airways to Resume Flights to Paris in June
May 18, 2008
Kenya’s national carrier, Kenya Airways, announced on Saturday that it will resume its daily three flights to Paris, France next month after the airline suspended flights to the country following post election skirmishes in January and February.
The airline suspended its flights after France and other European countries slapped travel advisories against the country.
They advised their citizens to keep away from Kenya at the height of the violence sparked by disputed presidential elections that claimed more than 1000 lives and left more than 300,000 people homeless.
Already the Kenyan government has earmarked more than 1 billion Kenya shillings (US$16 million) to aggressively market the country as a top tourism destination in both Europe and America.
