125px-Flag_of_Kenya.svg6Kenyan Prime Minister, Raila Odingahas accused the donor community of painting a gloomy picture of the country by mainly focusing on corruption and reforms hence denying the poor and vulnerable a chance for aid.

The premier said that the donors are scaring away potential investors in the country by depicting the country negatively.

He emphasized that it is the poor who suffer the consequences of the stalled funding urging the donor community to exercise their responsibility with caution.

Odinga made the comments at the joint government and development partnership forum.

He said the government is working to address reforms with seriousness “and donors would play a better role at partnering towards their achievement rather than blatantly attacking the government”.

The forum sought to give the government a platform to inform donor partners on the progress of addressing political as well as other reforms
