Kingfisher Airlines to Launch Direct Flights From Vadodara to Bangalore

Kingfisher Airlines, India’s first and only 5-Star airline, today announced that it will soon be launching services to Vadodara. The launch of services to Vadodara marks the launch of operations for Kingfisher Airlines in Vadodara. Beginning June 1, 2008, Kingfisher Airlines will offer a daily direct flight from Vadodara to Bangalore.

The flights on this new route will be operated using brand new Airbus A320 family aircraft featuring personalized in-flight entertainment on every seat, gourmet cuisine and world class service. With the launch of these new services, Kingfisher Airlines will now have more than 252 departures a day and will serve 38 destinations with a fleet of 42 brand new aircraft.

Commenting on the launch of these new sectors, Mr. Siva Ramachandran, Vice President -Global Sales, Kingfisher Airlines Limited said, “The launch of a daily direct flight from Vadodara to Bangalore will offer travelers from Gujarat excellent connectivity with South India, with Bangalore serving as a gateway for all inbound and outbound traffic between these two regions. This is the first time that any airline is offering a direct flight between these two cities. Consequently, guests from Gujarat will now have better and more convenient connectivity with other cities in South India like Chennai, Hyderabad, Cochin and Coimbatore via Bangalore. Besides catering to guests from Vadodara, this new flight will also cater to guests in the outlying region comprising Ankleshwar, Bharuch, Surat and Ahmedabad.”

“Besides catering to the demand from traders and entrepreneurs in the cosmopolitan city of Vadodara and the neighboring region, the new daily direct flight from Vadodara to Bangalore is also targeted at PSUs, SME companies operating in the engineering, manufacturing, automotive, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.”, added Mr. Ramachandran.
