Delhi-born Kriti Karbanda debuted in Telugu films opposite Akkinen Nageshwara Rao’s grandson, Sumanth. She is now venturing into Kannada films and will play the female lead opposite Tamil actor Arjun’s nephew Chiranjeevi Sarja.
Kriti addressed the media in a sweet and confident manner after the muhurat of her first Kannada film, Chiru, at Gavi Gangadeshwara Temple in Hanumanthnagar. Chiru is directed by Mahesh Babu and produced by Suresh Jain.
After working in the ad industry for 15 years, Kriti was very eager to put her experience to use in the Kannada film industry. She reveals that her role is that of a confident woman, not of a simple girl-next-door.
