Lesotho Deputy Minister of Education And Training on Botswana Study Tour
The Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Apesi Rats’ele left Lesotho at the head of a delegation on Sunday for Botswana, where they will undertake a one-week study tour of that country’s ministry of education.
The Chief Information Officer for the Lesotho education ministry, Molikuoa Sekhonyana described the study tour as a learning experience which will help his office in its current phase of transition.
She said the ministry is currently undergoing massive transformation in many spheres that include the decentralization of the central inspectorate.
Sekhonyana said Botswana has been selected as an ideal country following its successful and advanced stage of development of the education system, which Lesotho plans to implement.
During the tour, the delegation will hold discussions with relevant departments and exchange ideas on how to handle the challenges of transition.
