Liberia Calls for More Flights By Kenya Airways
May 9, 2008
Liberia Foreign Affairs Minister Olubanke Akerele on Friday urged Kenya to increase both her commercial and passenger flights to Liberia to deepen economic diplomacy between the two countries.
Addressing a press conference in Nairobi, Akerele said her country is keenly interested in seeing an increase of Kenya’s national carrier, Kenya Airways, increase its daily flights from the current three flights in a week.
Akerele is in the country to explore opportunities that will deepen stronger bilateral relations with Kenya.
She at the same time congratulated Kenya’s political class for having agreed to form a power sharing government ending post-election violence that claimed more than 1000 lives and left more than 300,000 Kenyans homeless.
