Libya Opens Doors to Sri Lankan Workers

Sri Lanka is to enter into an agreement with Libya regarding provision of employment opportunities for Sri Lankans, Chairman, Foreign Employment Bureau, Kingsley Ranasinghe said.
Accordingly, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) would be signed soon between the Minister of Foreign Employment Keheliya Rambukwella and Libya, ministry sources said.
A number of opportunities in the construction and building trades, industries and related fields are said to be available for Sri Lankan workers who seek employment in Libya. The ministry intends to provide training to workers interested in applying for such skilled labor, sources added.
