125px-Flag_of_Libya.svgLibyan Prime minister Elbougdadi Elmahmoudi and his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Nazif have attended in Tripoli the signing of a memorandum of understanding and an agreement related to industrial integration to enhance the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, according to Libyan information sources.

The sources said the programs dealt with education and Islamic affairs.

Libyan and Egyptian officials signed a memorandum of understanding regarding organizing Egyptian workers in the Libyan labor market

The Libyan and Egyptian joint committee held its 10th session in Tripoli on Friday and Saturday to discuss cooperation in the field of transportation, electricity and the increase of goods outflow between the two countries.

The Libyan news agency (Jana) said (the joint committee discussed also means of enhancing the size of trade exchange, joint investment and development of trade through establishing investment and tourist zones.

During the meeting of the joint committee, the Libyan Prime Minister pointed out that the trade exchange between Egypt and Libya reached more than US$1.5 billion in 2008, in addition to the increase in goods outflow.

On his side the Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif said the size of joint investments reached more than US$ billion in the framework of their investments and partnership cooperation.
