moxie-girlMGA Entertainment, Inc. has introduced Moxie Girlz(TM), a new doll line they say will encourage girls to reach for their dreams and fearlessly embrace their individuality through self-expression, friendships, and fashion.

With the brand motto of “Be True! Be You!(TM)”, the Moxie Girlz(TM) line is to inspire creativity through four characters, available in different themes, that provide a unique outlet for girls to express themselves and interactively play.

“The word ‘moxie’ actually means courage, energy and determination; all sentiments which align perfectly with the new Moxie Girlz line,” said Isaac Larian, CEO, MGA Entertainment, Inc. “In fact, by coupling our expertise in the toy industry with extensive research, we purposefully sought to create a line that empowers girls to be confident, be creative, and as our theme states, ‘Be True’ to themselves.”

According to both external and internal MGA research, tweens want to see more content related to decorating, fashion and makeovers for people their age. Moreover, they seek to create and express themselves through brands and products. The Moxie Girlz(TM) dolls and accessories meet these needs by providing an outlet for girls to engage and creatively play with the dolls while also relating to the fashion and the sentiment of “moxie.”

The Moxie Girlz(TM) line consists of four core characters: Lexa(TM), Avery(TM), Sasha(TM) and Sophina(TM), each with a unique style and story. Girls can interact with these characters through three main themes:

–  Art-itude(TM) – an art -based theme that allows girls to personalize the dolls’ clothes to create one of a kind looks.
–  Magic Hair – a hair styling-based theme, where girls can curl, twist and color unique hair styles, on their doll’s hair and their own, utilizing special products and accessories.

–  Jammaz(TM) – a music-based theme where girls can show their individuality and express themselves through music.

There are also a variety of accessories and games available to inspire self-expression and creativity, such as the Moxie Girlz(TM) Art-itude(TM) Airbrush Fashion Gallery, the Moxie Girlz(TM) Magic Hair Salon and the Moxie Girlz(TM) Jammaz(TM) Sleepover Kit.

Moxie Girlz(TM) will be available at retailers nationwide beginning on August 15, 2009.

I’m a huge Bratz fan and have always been since they first came out when I was in the fifth grade. I will continue to love Bratz and I seriously don’t think Moxie will be popular because they don’t even have a catchy theme or logo like Bratz. Plus I think they are sexist because there aren’t even any Boys even the Bratz Boyz faded out it’s really sexist. Maybe if they were some boyz I would maybe buy a Moxie. I honestly will never buy a Moxie girl and will continue to buy Bratz if Mattel doesn’t make them all weird.

Haha, well I’m 18 little girls, on the site for my niece whose 3… And Bratz dolls are wretched, they look like porn stars. I’m glad they got rid of them. And Moxie dolls are adorable, they say look at me I’m me, instead of look at me and all my plastic surgery like the lip injected Bratz dolls. Psh, these things are adorable.

Hi Cloudia , I am 42 and never had many dolls to play wiyh when I was young. I love collecting beautiful rare dolls now that I am older. Thousands of people all over the world create and collect cool dolls. You should check out Tonner dolls, or Kish dolls or any of the ball joint dolls that are so popular in China. Most of all you should enjoy the hobbies that make you happy. Lots of adults collect trains, antique toys and dolls. As long as they don’t replace time with your friends, Enjoy it. Love Ronda

bratz or moxie? BRATZ, duh, like really moxie girls have big long heads, they have nerd clothes looking like someone poured a rainbow on them, yea that might be the so-called fad for now BUT DO NOT OVER DO IT. goodness, its one thing barbies were put out by bratz but thats’ because they were cooler and much much better looking. moxies look like a ragged, ugly, drunk version of bratz. really people moxies are mockers, and its real funny how the bratz had 4 girls and moxie has 4 also. and how moxie has the SAME house, they just changed the colors and put “moxie” and said it was theirs. I’m not trying to be funny but moxies look…look…they look like that girl who got beaten UP[ by my sister -.-”

Moxie Girlz are so much better than the Bratz Dolls. The Bratz are like little hoochies while the Moxie Girlz have more of a purpose. Bratz Dolls set bad examples cuz there skirts are way to short, the shirts are to tight. The Moxie Girlz set a better example and don’t look like whores. and Moxie Girlz are the better looking doll between the Bratz and Moxie.
