125px-Flag_of_Egypt.svg3The Egyptian Health ministry has announced that 32 people have been injured in the capital Cairo, including 12 Egyptians and 20 Algerians as a result of sporadic riots after the Saturday evening football match between the two countries.

An Egyptian official spokesman told reporters on Sunday that 29 of those injured by these incidents were discharged from hospitals upon recovery.

It should be recalled that the Egyptian team beat Algeria 2-0 in the qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

A playoff match between two teams will be held on Wednesday to determine which team would step up to the World Cup.
