Mumbai International Films Festival to Begin on February 3

The forthcoming 10th Mumbai International Films Festival for Documentary, Short & Animation Films, being organized by Films Division, Government of India at NCPA, Nariman, Point Mumbai from 3rd to 9th February, 2008, will have Retrospective, Special packages and Homage as the centers of attraction at the festival.

For the first time ever, the delegates will have an opportunity to view rare films about the Second World War. These rare celluloid records are of Indian troops in action in various parts of the world during the 2nd World War. It also features the battle of Britain, Russia and other major operations of the period. Armed Forces Film and Photo Division has provided this package of films. These rare footages were shot by the then Army’s Combat Cameraman and soldiers themselves.

Finishing touches are being given to the war footing to make the festival a memorable one and a grand success.
