The new Iranian envoy to Russia said on Friday that the six powers involved in talks over Tehran’s nuclear program were being influenced by the “destructive approach” of the United States, the IRNA news agency said.

Last week Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Tehran was losing trust in the group following a new UN Security Council resolution against Tehran’s activities adopted late in September.

“Despite the current situation with the Iranian nuclear program, a number of countries of the ’six’ are under the influence of the U.S.’ unreasonable policy and demonstrate a destructive approach,” Seyed Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi said in Moscow.

He also said together with Washington those countries “cause scandals, make threats and try to impose their incorrect policy on us.”

A new resolution was passed on September 27 on the initiative of the so-called Iran Six - Russia, the United States, China, France, Britain and Germany. It did not include any new sanctions, but did call on Iran to fulfill its responsibilities under previous Security Council resolutions and IAEA commitments.
