Pizza in Cannes And Bollywood

An Indian American film maker Parthiban Shanmugam’s, latest award winning film “A Pizza Story,” will be show cased in Cannes Short film corner from May 14 - 24 2008.

This film was adjudged for the Jury award at the three-day International Festival of Short Films on Culture which recently concluded in Jaipur, India. The 12-minute film produced & directed by Parthiban Shanmugam is based on the real life story of a war-torn soldier’s daughter search for her missing father.

Currently the film is being made into a feature film, with a cast of Hollywood and Bollywood actors. According to the producers of this film they are negotiating with a top Bollywood actor who will likely portray a negative role in this film.

A Pizza Story tells the story of a child’s understanding but the heart of a warrior, 8-year-old Eliana Jennen embarks alone on a courageous quest to find her father, Capt. Lance Jennen, stationed in Iraq.
