Powerball Jackpot Leaps to $155 Million

November 25, 2007

The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $155 million for Wednesday night’s draw as the grand prize was not hit Saturday evening. In addition, one ticket from North Carolina won a $1 million cash prize with the Power Play option!

Six other tickets from Delaware (1), Indiana (1), Kentucky (1), Minnesota (1), Montana (1), and Oklahoma (1) matched all 5 white balls for a $200,000 cash win!

The jackpot for the Wednesday, November 28th drawing will be $155 million with the cash option at $77 million.

The numbers drawn Saturday evening were 1, 7, 13, 23, 35, and the Powerball was 19. The Power Play multiplier was 5.

Forty-three tickets matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. Eight additional players of that prize level wisely purchased the Power Play and had their prize multiplied by 5 for a $50,000 cash win! A total of 710,490 players across the nation won more than $8.7 million in prizes playing America’s favorite game.

Over 120,000 winning Powerball players multiplied their prize by 5 Saturday. They were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for $1. With Power Play you multiply your Powerball winnings from 2-5 times, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night’s multiplier.

Players purchased $29,230,635 in Powerball and Power Play tickets between Thursday and Saturday night.
