Reports Claim World Food Program’s Senior Assistant in Somalia Killed By Gunmen

Reports from Merka the provincial capital of Lower shabelle, say that unidentified Somali militia men have shot dead Abdi Naser Aden Muse, the World food program’s senior assistant in the region.

Police sources said two masked men armed with pistols shot the WFP’s senior program assistant as he left a mosque after prayers on Friday.

Somali police are hunting to trap down the killers.

Abdi Naser Aden Muse was alleged shot two times in the head and in the chest and died while he was being transported to hospital.

No one or group has claimed responsibility of the killing.

Several humanitarian relief officers have been killed in Somalia over the years while many others have escaped death over the last few months.
