Seychelles and Monaco have agreed to sign a treaty to avoid double taxation and evasion of taxes on income, official sources said on Friday.
The sources said senior government officials from the ministries of Finance and Foreign Affairs, the Seychelles Revenue Commission, and the Seychelles International Business Authority have held talks with Pierre-Jean Douvier, the technical consultant at the Department of Finance and Economy of the Principality of Monaco.
The sources said the talks, which ended on Friday, were concluded with a draft agreement that will be presented to the government for consideration.
The Seychellois parliament will have to ratify the treaty, the sources said.
