South Korean has reopened its embassy in Yaounde, the Cameroonian capital, after closing it in 1998 for economic reasons.
The new Korean ambassador to Cameroon, Lee Hosung, was the third secretary of the diplomatic consulate before its closure.
The reopening of this embassy coincides with Korean enterprises resuming activities in Cameroon, like the Korean Ports Engineering Corporation which is in charge of the feasibility studies for the construction of the deep water port in Limbe (South West Province).
Meanwhile, another Korean firm is building a cement plant in Limbe.
