February 29, 2008

The Ministry of Tourism and the Sri Lanka Tourism Bureau have jointly launched an initiative to promote Sri Lanka in the Middle East. With this in mind Sri Lankan Airlines has introduced a series of special airfares for flights from the Middle East to Sri Lanka.

It is also offering a special stop-over package in Sri Lanka to travellers between Middle East and India.

‘Sri Lankan Holidays’, the Airline’s leisure arm, also introduced a series of special all-inclusive offers to visit Sri Lanka that will be valid for three months, ending April 30, 2008.

In addition to holiday packages, Sri Lanka is also promoting itself as an excellent convention location.

Middle East travellers will have the advantage of booking their travel over the internet at www.srilankan.aero. Online travellers can access a range of ‘internet only” offers to visit Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan Airlines fly to 54 destinations in 28 countries.
