Sri Lanka’s Air Force Destroys LTTE Heavy Weapons Deployment And Logistics Boats

A LTTE heavy weapons deployment and LTTE logistics boats in the Mullaittiuvu lagoon area were destroyed in two consecutive air raids carried out by Sri Lanka Air Force fighter jets this morning (18), defense sources said.

According to Air Force Spokesperson Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, the LTTE heavy weapons deployment was located two kilometers west of Mullaittiuvu lagoon and came under attack at about 6.10 a.m.

The later air strike targeted three large-scale LTTE logistic boats in the Mullaittiuvu lagoon.

Citing the pilots, the Air Force Spokesperson confirmed that two boats were completely destroyed while the other is still in flames.
