(PRNewsFoto/Big Machine Records)Country music newcomers Steel Magnolia will release their self-titled debut album on September 21st. The album, produced by Dann Huff, includes Steel Magnolia’s smash, “Keep On Lovin’ You,” and new single, the sweeping power-ballad, “Just By Being You (Halo and Wings),” a Top 5 video on CMT.com.

2010 has been a whirlwind year for Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones, the duo that comprise Steel Magnolia. The rising stars have broken a decades-long Billboard record and earned a million downloads of their Top 5 break-out hit, “Keep On Lovin’ You.”

Despite Steel Magnolia’s success, getting to this point hasn’t been an easy road.

“There’s a Queen song called, ‘We are the Champions,’ ” says Jones. “There’s a line in the song that says, ‘It’s been no bed of roses, no pleasure cruise, I consider it a challenge before the whole human race, and I ain’t gonna lose.’ It’s true – it hasn’t been a bed of roses for me. I grew up dirt poor in Illinois. I don’t think you always have to know how you’re going to do something, you just have to have the determination to do it.”

“I knew at a very young age, exactly what I wanted to do,” echoes Linsey. “I started coming to Nashville when I was 14 and moved when I turned 18. I found my ‘niche’ working in karaoke bars in downtown Nashville. I didn’t have money or connections or much of anything, I had no idea how all of this was going to work out, I just always believed that it would.”

The duo showcase their bluesy and sassy, soul-infused Country Rock on album tracks, including the Keith Urban-penned “Homespun Love,” and the bickering break-up ballad, “Edge of Goodbye.”

“Bulletproof” allows Linsey’s gritty, soulful vocals to soar while the island-rhythm infused, “Rainbow,” is an uplifting, autobiographical narrative, about living your dreams no matter what the world throws at you.

Steel Magnolia wrote 7 of the 12 tracks on their album debut, including the haunting ballad, “Glass Houses,” penned solely by Joshua Scott Jones.

With national media ranging from Lopez Tonight to CBS Early Show to USA Weekend to People to the Associated Press, Steel Magnolia has earned acclaim from fans and critics for their unique vocal blend and passionate performances. Steel Magnolia, who are currently performing on Brad Paisley’s “H20 World Tour,” were honored with two 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards Nominations for Vocal Duo of the Year AND New Vocal Duo of the Year. Additionally, Steel Magnolia were nominated for two 2010 CMT Music Awards for their hit video, “Keep On Lovin’ You.”
