Defense sources have confirmed that Muththusami Ilankoon, alias Sami, a Singaporean passport holder arrested by the Police, was a most-wanted LTTE terrorist who is suspected to have a hand in many civilian massacres carried out by the LTTE.
The initial investigations have unveiled that Muttusami, a Sri Lanka-born Tamil, has a strong connection with LTTE leaders. He is said to be promoting cross border terrorists activities of the LTTE as well as of other international terrorist organizations that work hand in hand with LTTE, the Defense Ministry said.
Meanwhile the Ministry of Defence has published photographs of Muththusami taken with LTTE leader Prabhakaran, former leader of the LTTE political wing S.P. Thamilselvan and several other LTTE leaders.
