Some 550 exhibitors from several countries in the world are expected at the Lome 7th International Trade Fair which opens on Friday in the Togolese capital. The director of the Togo Exhibitions Center (CETEF) Kueku-Banka Johnson said during a press conference that exhibitors are from 16 countries namely, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Nigeria, Niger, Senegal, Belgium, Brazil, Italy, Syria and Turkey.

He pointed out that the exhibition area has been increased from 5,000 sq m in 2007 to 8,675 sq m.

For the first time, the organizers of the fair wished that the information and communication technologies be included with the opening of a virtual fair.
