The Togolese National Assembly has approved the 2010 budget which amount to CFA 499.725 billion in expenses and CFA 432. 664 billion in revenue, APA learned Saturday from parliamentary sources.
Only members of the majority Togolese People’s Rally (RPT) adopted the budget as members of the Union of Forces for Change (UFC) and the Action Committee for Renewal (CAR) voted against.
The Togolese Economy and Finance Minister Oteth Ayassor told MPs that the government’s priority is to assign most resources to social sectors, employment, and clearance of domestic debt, support the rule of law and especially the growth areas.
