Seeing all the destruction produced by these horrible tornados one can’t help but remember the old story of the three little pigs and the wolf. It just seems we are so eager to build quickly and cheaply that we use materials suit for the northern european climates, that is…. wood. If these houses had been slowy build in the mediterranean tradition with reinforced concrete strutures, solid brick, and terracota roofs the disater would have been of much lesser degree.
Just a thought… We should stop building houses with the struture of a match box.
