Traffic Policeman in Chechnya Wounds Himself in Stomach

A traffic policeman in the capital of the Russian troubled North Caucasus republic of Chechnya was hospitalized after accidentally wounding himself, a police source said Saturday.

“The policeman wounded himself in the stomach with two shots after carelessly handling a Kalashnikov assault rifle,” the source said.
