Two LTTE Bases Raided in Sri Lanka

Two identified forward operating bases of LTTE on the Mannar battle front ware completely destroyed by the Sri Lanka Air Force helicopter gun ships and fighter jets while a boat manufacturing facility of the LTTE located in Kilinochchi came under fighter jet attack this morning (26), defense sources said.
Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Andrew Wijesooriya said that the first air raid was conducted around 10.15 am using MI 24 helicopters located in Alankulama and Kaliadanchan. He said the attack was undertaken as a ground support mission to soldiers engaged in counter terrorist operations in the area.
The information gathered by the ‘on air surveillance’ and on ground information has precisely indicated the LTTE boat manufacturing facility located in Vishwamadhukulama area in Kilinochchi raided around 10.50 am this morning.
The pilots have confirmed that the targets ware accurately hit.
