U.K. Government Warns Against Travel to Comoros

The U.K. Foreign and Commonwealth Office has changed its travel advice for Comoros. Due to increased likelihood of military action they are advising against all travel to the island of Anjouan and all but essential travel to the rest of Comoros.

“We advise against all travel to the island of Anjouan and all but essential travel to the rest of Comoros. Following disputed elections on the island of Anjouan in June 2007, the situation in Comoros remains tense with the Union threatening military action against Anjouan in February 2008.”
