UNDP, Bill Gates Foundation Launch Partnership in Senegal

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Administrator, Kemal Dervis from Turkey arrived Thursday in Dakar to meet with Senegalese officials and launch the UNDP new partnership agreement with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Among other things, the partnership will ensure a regional approach to popularize rural agricultural businesses for people in Burkina Faso, Mali and Senegal, a statement said here.

Dervis will address a news conference on Friday at the end of his visit to Senegal.
